Day 01 :

Marrakech → Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou → Boumalne Dades

Your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes starts with a drive through the Atlas Mountains. It will be scenic. It will cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass. We'll stop at traditional Berber villages. There, you can enjoy the local culture and the stunning mountain views. The day's highlight is visiting Aït Benhaddou, a stunning UNESCO-listed kasbah. It has been the backdrop for many famous films. After exploring the kasbah, we'll head to the Dades Valley, the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs."

We'll pass through El Kelaa M'Gouna, a picturesque town in the Valley of the Roses. It's known for its annual rose festival and its fragrant Damascus roses. If you visit in the spring (April to May), we can stop at a rose water distillation factory. It's artisanal. We then continue our journey. We arrive at the Dades Valley for an overnight stay in a charming hotel. You'll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner to end the day.

Day 02 :

Dades Valley → Tinghir → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After a hearty breakfast on day two of our Marrakech to Fes desert tour, we’ll continue through the Dades Valley. We'll follow the winding roads to the oasis town of Tinghir. Upon arrival, you'll take a guided walk through Tinghir's lush oasis. Palm groves stretch as far as the eye can see. The sound of trickling irrigation channels fills the air. After the walk, we’ll go to the stunning Todra Gorge. Towering cliffs frame a narrow, lush valley there. Stroll through the gorge. Admire the rock formations and the clear Todra River. This is a perfect spot for photos and a chance to soak in the breathtaking scenery.

In the afternoon, we‘ll make our way to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. You'll take a magical camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. From your camel, you can marvel at the sunset. As the desert shifts from gold to fiery orange, you'll arrive at your camp. You'll spend the night under the stars. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. Day 03 :

Merzouga → Midelt → Ifrane → Fes

Rise early to see the spectacular Sahara sunrise. It's a breathtaking moment you won't forget. Then, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the desert camp. After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey back to Fes. We'll pass through the stunning Ziz Valley. This fertile valley has vast date palm groves and dramatic cliffs. They offer perfect photo ops as we wind through its scenic landscapes.

Our first stop will be in Midelt, a small town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Savor a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant. Sample authentic Moroccan cuisine amid the serene mountain views.

Next, we'll drive through the Berber village of Azrou. It is famous for its ancient cedar forests and wildlife. We'll stop to meet the playful Barbary apes in the cedar forests. It's fun for both kids and adults.

After some time with the apes, we'll go to Ifrane. It's called "the Switzerland of Morocco" for its alpine-style architecture and cooler climate. Here, we’ll take a short break to stretch our legs and enjoy a coffee at a local café. Ifrane's European charm and clean, green parks contrast with the desert we left.

As the landscape shifts from the lush Middle Atlas to rolling hills, we’ll drive to Fes. We will arrive by late afternoon.
