Day Trip to Ouzoud Waterfalls from Marrakech

After breakfast at your hotel, your driver will pick you up for a day trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls. He is from Sahara Camel Trips. It will take about 2.5 hours (160 km).

As you admire the Atlas Mountains, you will pass through olive farms to reach the small village of Ouzoud. From here, we will start our tour. We will pass many souvenir stalls, then climb down the stairs past the cafés. Before the stairs, you will see the waterfalls. They will look heavenly.

There is a more fun, but challenging route to the waterfalls. If you are in good shape and have good boots, take it. It has incredible views and more monkeys.

It has the best views of the waterfalls. It offers good swimming in summer. It’s also a place to rest. There are small boats that can take you on a tour. These boats serve little practical use since it is easy to walk over to the other side. But they are there to charm.

This is also the home of the famous macaque monkeys. They are tailless by nature and perform in Marrakech’s main square. It is delightful to see them roaming free in their native habitat. There are several lunchtime restaurants (not included), all of which have spectacular views.

After lunch, we will drive back to Marrakech. We’ll arrive in the late afternoon and drop you off at your hotel. This ends your Marrakech day trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls.
