Your tour from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga in the Moroccan desert will start at 07:45. A driver will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel or riad. We'll leave from Marrakech. Then, we'll cross the Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass, which offers stunning views. We will stop a few times to admire the scenery and take photos. We will arrive in Ouarzazate for lunch. Then, we will cross the Draa River to continue to Zagora. The river has created a 200 km-long oasis at the foot of the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Several palm groves will shade the area between the Kasbahs and fortified villages. Fields of corn, barley, vegetables, and henna surround them. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Zagora.

After breakfast, we will head to M'hamid (where the paved road ends). We will pass through the village of Tamagroute. There, we can visit one of Morocco's oldest Koranic libraries. Then, we will see the nearby Kasbah, famous for its pottery workshop. You can enjoy lunch in M'hamid at your leisure. In the early afternoon, we will reach the Erg Chigaga dunes. We'll pass through various desert features: 'Erg', 'Reg', 'Hammadas', and oases. The dunes of Erg Chigaga are remote. The silence of the sand is total. Ride a camel through the dunes and enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets over the changing dunes. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the stars by a campfire. Local nomads will entertain you with their music. Night in your camp in the Sahara Desert.

After breakfast, the road takes us through 90 km of desert. It has a variety of landscapes. First, we cross the dry salt lake of Iriqui and the Anti-Atlas mountains. We follow the old route of the “Rally Paris Dakar.” Then towards Foum Zguid, the first village after the desert, where the asphalt road begins. After lunch, continue to the Berber village of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets. We arrive in Ouarzazate late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we can visit the film studios near Ouarzazate. It's the Hollywood of Africa. Next, we visit the World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. It was a set for 20 blockbusters, like "Gladiator" and "Indiana Jones." Enjoy a walk to see the traditional Moroccan architecture of the Kasbahs. We continue our way to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass. Depending on the time, we can serve lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or the Atlas Mountains on the way to Marrakech. Arrival in Marrakech by 5:00 PM. Your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga will end with a drop-off at your hotel, Riad, or a chosen spot.
