Our 7 Day Morocco Desert Tour Starting Fes begins with a morning departure at 8 am. We take a scenic trip through the Middle Atlas. It passes through Ifrane, the "Moroccan Switzerland." Next, we go to Azrou and the Cedar Forest. It is home to the Barbary Macaques, the only ones living outside Asia. Then we continue our drive towards the Erg Chebbi dunes. A midday meal awaits us in Midelt before we continue our journey. As we leave Midelt, the sub-Saharan terrain unfolds. Then, we reach Merzouga, known as the "Desert Door." Here, we switch our car to camels for a mesmerizing sunset ride. We end the day in our desert tent, in a calm, beautiful desert. It is an unforgettable night. You will have dinner and spend a night in the Erg Chebbi desert. It includes local Berber drumming, a bonfire, and stargazing.

On the second day of our private tour, we must wake up early to see the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. It is mesmerizing. After a hearty breakfast, we drive to Boumalen Dades via Erfoud. Erfoud is famous for its marbles and fossils. Along the way, we pass through charming Berber towns such as Melaab and Tinjdad. We journey to the stunning Todgha Gorges. Their towering walls create a breathtaking view. After a lovely lunch at this beautiful spot, we drive on to Boumalen Dades. We check into our hotel upon arrival. It has a calm setting for dinner and a peaceful night's stay.

Our 7-day tour of the Imperial Cities & the Desert continues. We will travel from Boumalne Dades to Marrakech. It will be memorable. We take a scenic drive through the Valley of Roses. It's known for its Damask roses, used to make rose water and cosmetics. If we choose, we can stop at local cooperatives. There, we can see the traditional methods of producing these coveted goods. We continue our expedition, crossing Ouarzazate. An optional visit to the famous Atlas Film Studio awaits. Next, we go to the UNESCO site, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. It's a cinematic masterpiece, seen in Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones, and Gladiator. After a delicious lunch in the Kasbah, we crossed the Tizin’Tichka Pass (2260m). It offers great views of the High Atlas Mountains and a few Berber villages. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will check into the Riad/Hotel. It offers a restful and peaceful stay.

We dedicate this day to the captivating city of Marrakech. After breakfast at your Riad, we will take a guided tour. An official guide will share the city's rich history and culture. Explore Marrakech's highlights. The sites are: the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Secret Garden, and the Marrakech Museum. Also, see the Koutoubia Mosque, the busy souks, and the Mellah, or Old Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, your driver will pick you up. You will explore one of Marrakech's finest gardens, the Majorelle Garden. As evening falls, the lively atmosphere of Jamaa El Fna Square comes alive. Enjoy free time to stroll around before retiring for the night at a Riad.

After breakfast at the Riad, we will take our 7-day tour to Rabat, Morocco's capital, via Casablanca. In Casablanca, a brief visit awaits to explore its renowned attractions. Our plan is to visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Then, we'll stroll along the Corniche, with optional stops at other sites. After our visit, we’ll embark on the journey to Rabat. In about an hour, we'll arrive in Rabat. We'll check into our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

On the sixth day of our journey, we carve out half a day to discover the enchanting city of Rabat. Following breakfast, we embark on a captivating exploration of its renowned attractions. We visit the famous Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. Then, we explore Rabat's old Medina. After that, we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in its vibrant streets. Next, we aim for the blue pearl, Chefchaouen. It is a picturesque town in the stunning Rif Mountains. We will relax there and spend the night.

After breakfast, we will explore the charming villages at the Rif Mountains' foothills. The iconic blue buildings welcome us. We explore the Medina's Spanish-style architecture and winding alleys. Soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this enchanting town. Enjoy your free time by exploring it at a relaxed pace. After a lovely lunch in this beautiful town, we bid farewell to Chefchaouen. We then return to Fes, where our tour ends.
